The Clerk & Master serves in the dual role of Clerk of the Chancery Court and the Master in Chancery for the Eleventh Judicial District of Tennessee. As the Clerk, the officer serves a clerical role managing the dockets and other court documents. As Master, the officer serves a judicial role similar to a Chancellor. The Master may make crucial decisions regarding the law, equity or disputed facts.
