Alternative Sentencing Department

The Alternative Sentencing Department’s mission is to offer programs that are an alternative to incarceration and that focus on work ethic and a more structured lifestyle with the intent of reducing recidivism and safety of the community.

Department of Emergency Medical Services

The Department of Emergency Medical Services oversees all emergency medical services ranging from first responders to special operation medical teams.

Parks and Recreation Department

The Parks and Recreation Department oversees local parks including Chester Frost, Enterprise South Nature Park and the Tennessee Riverpark. Their page includes information on local events and reservations for camping spots, pavilions, and shelters.



About the General Services Division

Our mission is to serve the citizens of Hamilton County. It is responsible for all areas of government that touch the people directly. General Services Division is accountable for the organization, operation and supervision of five departments in Hamilton County General Government. They are the Alternative Sentencing Department, Emergency Medical Services, Parks and Recreation Department, and Mental Health Court. Together these departments provide more than 200 programs/services covering a wide spectrum of activities.
