Hamilton County Mayor Jim Coppinger appeared on the Fox Business Channel
Thursday, March 4th along with Volkswagen leaders to talk about the ongoing VW
Project. Mayor Coppinger was interviewed by Fox Business Channel Reporter, Jeff
Flock about the one billion dollar Hamilton County investment.
Fox Business Channel continued their day long Enterprise South coverage with
hourly live reports from Jeff Flock interviewing other people associated with
the project such as Frank Fisher, CEO, Volkswagen Group of America, Chattanooga
Operations, Don Jackson, Manufacturing President and Trevor Hamilton with the
Chattanooga Area Chamber of Commerce.
The guests discussed the two thousand jobs Volkswagen will create when their new
automobile goes into production here in Hamilton County. The ongoing cable–TV
coverage gave viewers a first national look at how massive the auto assembly
plant is both outside and inside.
