In accordance with Tennessee Code Annotated §5-1-104, §5-5-111 and §49-2-202 notice is hereby given regarding procedures and meeting date of filling the District 3 school board vacancy created by the resignation of Everett Fairchild.

Applicants for the vacancy must submit their letter of interest and resume to the County Commission Office, Room 402 Courthouse on Thursday, March 15 or Friday, March 16, 2012. Office hours are 8 am to 4 pm. Each Commissioner will then have the opportunity to schedule a personal interview with applicants prior to their vote in a special called meeting at 9:30 am March 29, 2012 EDT in the County Commission Meeting Room on the 4th floor of the Hamilton County Courthouse, 625 Georgia Avenue, Chattanooga, TN.

In accordance with Tennessee Code Annotated §5-5-111 and §5-1-104, notice to the County Legislative Body has been given to meet on Wednesday, March 1, 2012, at 9:30 a.m. EST in the County Commission Meeting Room on the 4th floor of the Hamilton County Courthouse, 625 Georgia Avenue, Chattanooga, TN. At this meeting the Commission will consider filling the vacancy created by the death of Judge Bob Moon, Division V of the General Session Court.

Individuals interested in receiving the appointment shall submit their letter of interest and resume’ to the County Commission office, Room 401 Courthouse, no later than 12 noon on Friday, February 10, 2012. Each Commissioner will then have the opportunity to schedule a personal interview with applicants prior to their vote on March 1, 2012.
