Lieutenant David Thompson, Sr., Lt. David Thompson, Sr. has served with Hamilton County EMS since September 1988. Lt. Thompson has been in emergency services since 1984. He started his emergency service career as a volunteer with Chattanooga-Hamilton County Rescue. He received his EMT license in 1987 from Chattanooga State. He was hired by the Town of Lookout Mountain in 1987 as a police and fire dispatcher. Upon completion of the Paramedic program from Chattanooga State, he was hired by Hamilton County EMS in September of 1988. Lt. Thompson has received the following awards: "Trauma Call of the Year" (twice), "Medical Call of the Year", "Grand Blue Ribbon" (twice), "Paramedic of the Year Runner-Up". He has also received two awards from the Hamilton County Commission. David Thompson is married to his wife Allison. He has a daughter Jordan and a son David Thompson, Jr. He attends church at Christ United Methodist. Lt. Thompson is an Eagle Scout and is currently an assistant scoutmaster for Troop 137 in East Brainerd. Lt. Thompson has a great love for the outdoors. He spends a great amount of time in the field enjoying hunting, fishing and camping. His favorite quarry is the Whitetail deer which he pursues with primitive weapons as well as firearms. |
