Gordon Vick
Microcomputer Specialist

Gordon graduated with honors from Northwestern Technical Institute in 1999 with an Associate Degree in Electronics Technology: Computer  Specialization.  He is also Comptia A+ certified as a computer maintenance professional.  He was hired by HCEMS in November of 1999 to fill the newly created Microcomputer Specialist position.  A modern EMS agency is in a constant state of technological change.  From electronic run reporting and billing systems to GPS location and tracking, Gordon is always eager to adapt new technologies into our service.  He maintains all computer systems and networking for the 14 EMS Stations as well as support for the office staff at the Administration building in downtown Chattanooga.  He works closely with Hamilton County's IT department to assure all hardware and software conform to all design and security standards.  He is also involved in the digital design and publishing of images and video for EMS and other branches of Hamilton County Emergency Services.  He also took part in the installation of a new information system in our Emergency Operations Center.  He enjoys spending time with family and friends.  He also enjoys playing the guitar and of course he's a computer enthusiast.
