JAKE CARROLL

Rev. Jake E. Carroll has been appointed as the Chaplain for Hamilton County Emergency Services. Director Don Allen along with Chief Ken Wilkerson and Chief Tony Reavley met with Pastor Carroll December 5th to finalize the details. The mission of the Chaplain’s office is to meet and coordinate the emergent mental, emotional, and spiritual needs of the emergency services community and the general public involved in an emergency situation.

A native of Hamilton County, Jake has been involved in emergency services since 1986 as a licensed EMT. Initially working for the Chattanooga Fire Department in 1990 as a paramedic was hired by Hamilton County EMS in 1992, and in 2000 Jake became involved with the training division. He continues to volunteer with the Hamilton County Command Post and volunteers with the Southeast Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM) Team.

Pastor Carroll currently serves Chamberlain Memorial Baptist Church as their Senior Pastor. He has been involved in the ministry since 1985 and served in several capacities over the years gaining a diverse field of experience. Chamberlain Memorial has hosted the Firefighter I & II graduation ceremonies in May since 2006 and will also host the 2008 ceremonies.

Jake continues to be a dedicated member of the Emergency Services Community. Since 1986 he has trained many other people in CPR, First Responder, EMT, and Paramedic as a credentialed TN EMS Instructor Coordinator. He has earned a MBA degree from Liberty University and Bachelor’s degree in Ministry from Covington Theological Seminary where he is currently completing his Doctorate in Theology degree.
