Friday AgVenture Day
300 – 400 inner city elementary school
students will visit the fair on Friday for
AgVenture Day. Students will also enjoy the
Eudora Farms Animal Education show featuring exotic animals.
Petting Zoo
The Petting Zoo this year contains sheep,
goats, pigs, miniature donkey, rabbits,
ducks, baby chicks, and calves.
Little Miss & Mr County Fair Contest
Girls and Boys ages 3-6 will vie for the title.
Contestants will wear t-shirts provided
and may be chaperoned by a parent. Each
First place
winner will receive a $100 Visa Gift Card and each of the
participants (50 max) will receive a
t-shirt.
Dance Expo
Children and adults from local dance
companies and organizations will perform on
the Community Stage throughout both days.
Eudora Farms Animal Education Tent
This giant animal education tent will
feature dozens of exotic animals and hourly
shows presented by professional zoologists.
The Hot Diggity Dog Show
The Chattanooga Obedience Club, Roddy Dogs,
and the local chapter of Service Dogs of
America will perform in the horse arena each
day at 11am and 3pm.
Cheerleading Contest
Hamilton County
middle and high school cheerleading squads
will compete for trophies. Awards given for
best pom routine, best pyramid, best stunts,
best tumbling and most school spirit.
United Cheerleading will provide mats and
judging for the event.

* Come see the display area
for over 40 ANTIQUE Automobiles ranging from
the Model T's to the American dream cars
like the 1957 Chevy. Come see the classics
and talk with fellow auto enthusiasts!
* More retro farming equipment, antique
tractors, and old-time engines will be on
working display. Look for turn of the
century household appliances and pump
motors. Of special local interest is an
antique Coca-Cola delivery truck.
* Returning this year will be a display by
the Chattanooga Area Model Railroad Club.
The popular model train layout complete with
over 350 feet of track, bridges, overpasses,
signals, and sidetracks will be bigger than
ever. Large model trains will run at all
times during the fair.
* The local history segment of the County
Fair features demonstrations and exhibits
depicting our heritage and community
traditions.
* Those folks who love to make, bake, sew,
grow, or win cold hard cash will be pleased
to know that the premiums awarded the top
entries in the Home-Centered, Agricultural,
and Flower Show competitions are $5 for
first place: $4 for second place; and $3 for
third place.
* From old fashioned sack races to a balloon
toss, the County Fair Children's Area is
filled with fun activities for FREE! |
