The Department of Financial Management is responsible for all functions related to risk management including analysis of risk exposures and alternatives to risk financing, the purchase of insurance, and claims administration; preparation of indirect cost proposals to be used in requesting reimbursement for Federal grants and numerous other special reporting functions such as budgeting, bond prospectuses, Sections of the Comprehensive Annual Financial Report, etc. and systems development procedures.
Functions
  • To administer the County's risk management program in the most effective and efficient manner to insure maximum protection against possible losses.
  • Conduct inspections to insure a safe working environment for County employees and minimize worker compensation claims.
  • Prepare for publication the County's Annual Budget Report.
