What Should I Do?
Go indoors and stay there

- Turn on your
radio or TV and listen for additional instructions
- Notify
hearing-impaired and any handicapped people you know in area
- If in a
vehicle, close the windows and turn off ventilation system

If Evacuation Is Ordered by Authorities:
Stay calm. Pack the most important things you and your family
will need, such as medicine, clothes, baby supplies, portable radio, flashlight, checkbook
and credit cards. Lock your house and turn on
the porch light as you leave.Use
you own vehicle if you can. If you have room,
take neighbors who need a ride. Keep car
windows and air vents closed. Turn on the car
radio to hear instructions. If you don't have you own transportation, ask a
neighbor or call the fire or police department. Authorized
personnel will be stationed along major routes to direct you out of the affected area and
toward a reception area. Security personnel
will be deployed in the evacuated area to prevent looting and vandalism.
You may return to your home as soon as the, emergency is declared over by authorities. |

If You Are Told to Shelter in Place:
Stay calm. Close all windows, doors, dryer vents, range
vents, exhaust fan grills and fireplace dampers. Turn
off all window fans, exhaust fans, furnaces and air conditioners. Stay tuned to local
radio or TV stations for further updates.

- Schools will care
for and protect children; do not contact the school.
- Bring pets inside. Seal cracks around doors and windows with tape or
wet towels.
