The Microfilm department provides microfilm services to all County offices and departments and provides a centralized records storage area. The department provides technical assistance to the Hamilton County Records Commission and maintains all County microfilm equipment.
Function
  • To educate elected officials and department heads regarding the destruction of permanent records after they are microfilmed 
  • To computerize the records storage and retrieval system 
  • To maintain, through liaison with offices, standardized microfilm equipment countywide 
  • To review and maintain the quality of old microfilm
