The Microfilm department provides microfilm services to all County offices and departments and provides a centralized records storage area. The department provides technical assistance to the Hamilton County Records Commission and maintains all County microfilm equipment.

Function

To educate elected officials and department heads regarding the destruction of permanent records after they are microfilmed
To computerize the records storage and retrieval system
To maintain, through liaison with offices, standardized microfilm equipment countywide
To review and maintain the quality of old microfilm
