We have had several inquiries from businesses regarding the Hamilton County Health Department’s expansion of business operations under the guidance of Governor Lee’s Executive Order 63.
While restrictions have been lifted, we still require businesses (which includes restaurants and bars) to comply with social distancing standards as defined in the Tennessee pledge which you can find here.

Executive Order 55


Hamilton County Mayor Jim Coppinger announced today that organized K-12 public and private school contact sports can resume as of Monday, August 3, provided they follow TSSAA requirements. In addition, non-school sponsored athletics must follow Tennessee Pledge Guidelines. The Hamilton County Health Department is authorizing these activities based on the State of Tennessee’s Executive Order 55, signed by Governor Bill Lee. Those guidelines can be found on the Hamilton County’s website at www.hamiltontn.gov or on the state of Tennessee’s website at www.tn.gov
