The Office of Emergency Management and Homeland Security is in charge of developing a comprehensive all hazards emergency operations plan that meets state and federal requirements. They also organize training activities and provide emergency communications.
The Parks and Recreation Department oversees local parks including Chester Frost, Enterprise South Nature Park and the Tennessee Riverpark. Their page includes information on local events and reservations for camping spots, pavilions, and shelters.
Our mission is to serve the citizens of Hamilton County. It is responsible for all areas of government that touch the people directly. General Services Division is accountable for the organization, operation and supervision of four departments in Hamilton County General Government. They are the Corrections Department, Emergency Medical Services, Office of Emergency Management and Homeland Security, and Parks and Recreation Department. Together these departments provide more than 200 programs/services covering a wide spectrum of activities.
