The Hamilton County Public Works Division is comprised of the Highway Department, Building Inspection Department, Engineering Department, Real Property, and Support Services.
The Building Inspection Department is responsible for the enforcement of the County’s adopted building codes.
The Engineering Department provides engineering services to the properties and projects of Hamilton County.
The Facilities Maintenance Department maintains and renovates Hamilton County properties.
The Highway Department maintains 880 miles of surface treatment, hot mix paved roads, and bridges to a level that is safe to the traveling public.
The primary function of the Hamilton County Real Property Office is to serve as the real estate department for Hamilton County Government.
The Recycling Department manages the County’s Household Recycling and Waste Tire Recovery Centers.
