PILOT Program
The PILOT Program which stands for "Payments in Lieu of Taxes" program allows large companies to be exempt from certain property taxes. The taxes are handled by three boards. The Industrial Development Board of Chattanooga, Industrial Development Board of Hamilton County, and the Health Education and Housing Facilities Board.
